Philodendron verrucosum "Broad"
Humidity Requirements: 70%
Lighting: Bright, indirect lighting to shade
Grown and propagated in our Florida greenhouse.
This is the "broad" form of p. verrucosum. Adult leaves tend to be very wide, sometimes wider than they are long. Leaves on young plants will often have white backs, while more mature plants will have red backs. The central vein has a pink flush around the sinus. This variety has a very woody stem, and grows a bit slower than normal. Pictures of the size for sale are coming soon. This pic shows the parent plant for reference.
Philodendron verrucosum is one of the most popular philodendrons out there. And for good reason. It is a very attractive plant, with velvety, dark green leaves showcasing bright, contrasting venation.
